Ford India
Ford vehicle production in India started in 1926, but was interrupted in 1954. Fortunately production resumed in 1995 when the company was created mixed Mahindra Ford India Limited (MFIl). In 1998 Ford Motor Company increased its stake in the company, which since then acquired the name of Ford India Private Limited.

The main production plant of Ford India cars is located in Maraimalai Nagar and has a capacity of 100,000 cars each year. Recently, the company increased its capital expenditure to increase production to 200,000 cars annually.
The most recent productions of Ford India include Ford Ikon (1999), Ford Endeavour (2004), Ford Fiesta (2005) and Ford Figo (2010), which are sold at 164 dealerships in 97 cities across India and internationally, especially in South Africa and Africa markets.
Cars produced by Ford India have gained tremendous popularity and big sales levels due to fuel efficiency in both gasoline and oil versions. Ford India models are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding customers, whatever they are looking for. The contemporary style and the carefully designed internal model of the Ford India, distinguish this country for the quality of the cars there; therefore it is not rare to see Ford India cars running on the roads of any country.
